jocelyn + nathan // wedding

Jocelyn and Nathan’s wedding was a blast! Why? Because Andy did all the work and I got to party! Ok so not the only reason. It was a joy to celebrate these two tying the knot. Jocelyn has been one of my very best friends over the past 10 years. I still remember the day that she introduced me to Nathan over 6 years ago!! The wedding was beautiful and the reception was SO much fun. And.. there were a lot of awesome dancers that knew how to keep the party going!

Jocelyn’s bling ring and beautiful dress!!

Nathan’s mom and other relatives did an awesome job on decorations!!

Getting ready! Love these black & white shots.

Such a sweet picture of Jocelyn and her mother.

And it’s official!

A bunch of good lookin’ ladies!

Let the dancing begin!

How high can you go??

How low can you go??

And they’re off!

Aside from that, I was very pleased with how it all turned out.

lauren + justin // engaged

Lauren and Justin have a special place in our hearts. Lauren is Andy’s little sister and she has become the sister I never had. We have enjoyed watching Lauren and Justin’s relationship unfold over the past few years, and we are really excited about them tying the knot this Fall!

Justin has been stationed overseas in Afghanistan for the last year with the Army. Despite the long distance and the time difference, they have managed to communicate with each other every day.
Justin even shared Christmas Eve with us, thanks to modern technology (video chat).

In January, Justin came back to the states for vacation and to propose to Lauren!!!
It was fun to be a part of their proposal and we also had a lot of fun taking engagement photos with them.

Aren’t they are a good looking couple!? Seriously… they could be models!

They look so happy, even though it was freezing outside!! Must be love…

I loved the pictures of Lauren and Justin laughing. So beautiful and genuine!

This is my favorite picture!! The dark smoky colors bring out Lauren’s radiant eyes.

This is another favorite. I love the way Justin is looking at Lauren. So sweet!

We were excited to find some pretty lights and decorations outside of a store on Main Street.

It was a beautiful sunny day. I love how the sun is shining through in this one.

Check out that bling!

A few words from the couple…

Where did you guys meet?
L: Justin and I met at a sorority/fraternity mixer. He was a Sigma Chi and I was a ADPI and we were at a “sports” theme mixer. He came in a Yao Ming jersey and I was wearing a Texas Jersey.

J: Lauren and I had actually seen each other at a mutual friends’ house and several places in Huntsville. We made eye contact and I could tell there was something special about her, but we didn’t actually talk until the mixer. When we finally did get the chance to meet, we talked and danced together all night.

First date??
J: I took Lauren out for sushi the day after we met. I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, and we had a great time together at the mixer.

L: We were inseparable after that.

Favorite things to do together?
L: Cooking together, watching sitcoms, going on walks, and traveling!

J: Cooking together and traveling in Europe (take me please?? – Carrie)

What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
J: I am looking forward to us taking the next step in front of God, friends, and family. I want the world to know how much I love her and see us become one.  After living in Germany and being deployed in Afghanistan it will be great to see everyone on that day.  That day is to beginning of many great memories we will make.

L: I’m looking forward to being a married couple and starting our own life together. And I can finally call him my husband!! It will be nice to share this moment with friends and family that have been here for us for the past 5 years and everyone who has supported us during Justin’s year long deployment.

the wagens // family portraits

Oh Hi! It’s the Wagen family! Taylor, Brooke, Corin, Ari, and Elaia.

Carrie and I hopped in the van and ventured out into east Austin to catch the beautiful fall trees at the Texas State Cemetery.

It’s not officially a trip to the cemetery without a zombie!

Then we hopped up to the third story of the Wagen house and hit up the roof deck for some beauty shots. Look at that good lookin’ family!
